RESOUND Trio Sings 'The Prayer' From Andrea Bocelli

Listen to this incredible cover by the RESOUND trio of ‘The Prayer’ from Andrea Bocelli. “I pray you'll be our eyes and watch us where we go And help us to be wise in times when we don't know Let this be our prayer, when we lose our way Lead us to a place, guide us with your grace, give us faith so we’ll be safe” All we can say is wow! All of the voices in this video are absolutely incredible! And they all sound so amazing when they blend them together in those perfect harmonies. And it is so cool to hear them switching from English to Italian with the lyrics. What a marvelous rendition of this beautiful song. We cannot get enough of it! The group performing in this video is called RESOUND, and they are a three-member group based out of Richmond, Virginia. According to their YouTube page, “they believe their gift has been given only to them from God. They want to touch lives with their music and ministry. Resound has made accomplishments such as Background Vocalists for Troy Sneed's Latest Project with Top Gospel Billboard Chart Single "Lay it Down" and Local Artist in the Richmond, VA area. They have also ministered on stage and/or sung background for artists such as Tye Tribbet, Johnathan Nelson, Byron Cage, Kurt Carr, Vernon Gordon, and many more. They are humble individuals who are learning and growing in God.” “What an amazing God to blend these voices together!” writes one person on YouTube after watching this video. “The harmonies absolutely give me goosebumps. Just heavenly. Y'all took me there.” “My goodness, I’m just so, so thankful to be able to listen to your beautiful voices, giving glory to our Father! Amen and amen,” comments another person online. We hope that you enjoyed this rendition of ‘The Prayer’ and it was able to uplift you today.

University Choir Sings 'Auld Lang Syne'

Listen to this beautiful rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ performed by a university choir. It is stunning! “Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a cup of kindness yet for auld lang syne. And surely you’ll buy your pint cup, and surely I’ll buy mine! And we’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne. For auld lang syne” The singers in this video are the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin, and they are Ireland’s leading collegiate choral ensemble. Their version of Auld Lang Syne is available on their new holiday album titled Be All Merry. What an incredible performance this is! They all have such amazing voices, and their harmonies are so beautiful. Together, they all sound like a choir of angels. “There’s something so timeless and comforting about your music,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video. “Kudos and much love to you!” “Incredible layering of harmonies, accents, and love the natural reverb of the room. Keep up the great performances!” writes another person online. In addition to blessing us with their stunning voices, the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin share a little bit of history about the song ‘Auld Lang Syne’ on their YouTube page. “For decades, on these islands, the passage from the old to the new year at midnight has been celebrated by singing Robert Burns’ poem. This was first printed in 1788 although the author himself acknowledged that its origins lie in an earlier Scots-language ballad printed in 1711 by James Wilson. In this graceful arrangement, we hear the standard English version of the text set to a traditional Scottish melody,” reads the caption of this video. “Sopranos and altos predominate in the four verses, sometimes in unison and, at times, underpinned by a Scottish- sounding drone. In contrast, the chorus is richly sung by the full complement of voices.” We hope that you enjoyed listening to this beautiful version of this treasured song.

Pentatonix Performs 'Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)' On Daytime Talk Show

The a cappella sensations of Pentatonix bring the chills with a performance of Chris Tomlin’s ‘Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).’ This talented group formed in 2011, but they truly shot to fame after winning the third season of the television show ‘The Sing Off.’ Since that moment, Pentatonix has become a household name with viral performances such as ‘Mary Did You Know’ and ‘Hallelujah.’ On YouTube alone, Pentatonix has garnered over 4 billion views on their videos. Today, they are visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show for a beautiful rendition of ‘Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone).’ “Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now am found T'was blind but now I see” Christian artist Chris Tomlin originally wrote this song for his 2006 album ‘See The Morning.’ It was even nominated for a Dove Award for "Song of the Year" at the 39th GMA Dove Awards. The powerful words remind us all that we are saved by His love and grace. Now, Pentatonix is putting their own unique spin on this tune and it’s truly an anointed performance. “My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy reigns Unending love, amazing grace” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

'What A Wonderful Way To End A Crazy Year' David Archuleta

Singer-songwriter David Archuleta reminds us to look to the brighter days ahead with ‘What A Wonderful Way To End A Crazy Year.’ As we finish out 2020, these heartfelt lyrics are the perfect way to find the good all around us. “I know it's been a crazy year, uncertainties and fears What a time to be living Nothing's really gone our way Had a share of stressful days but here we are living” We first met David Archuleta when he rose to fame as a contestant on the seventh season of American Idol. David was just 16 years old when he placed second in the competition. Since that time, he’s continued to entertain with popular songs such as ‘Crush’ and covers of ‘The Prayer’ and ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me.’ Today, he’s helping us ring in the new year with his latest single, ‘What A Wonderful Way To End A Crazy Year.’ “There's a record of Nat King Cole on repeat And memories decorating our tree Being here with you What a wonderful way to end a crazy year” On Instagram, David wrote his thoughts on the meaningful tune. “2020 has been an unpredictable year, but I hope you're able to end this crazy year with some loved ones over the holidays.” Many of us have faced difficult times in 2020, but let us remember that there is so much happiness and joy all around us. God is in control and He will see us through as we enter into a new year.

14-Year-Old Sings Lauren Daigle 'Rescue' Cover

A 14-year-old sings a Lauren Daigle ‘Rescue’ cover, and you’ve got to hear this! When Lauren Daigle sat down to write 'Rescue', she had in mind a loved one who was struggling with life, making it one of her most personal songs ever. Just listening to the song, you can sense her deep, raw, and real emotions. And the same goes for Hannah Elizabeth, a 14-year-old who sings ‘Rescue’ as a cover. Hannah has been performing for quite a while and is a member of Rise Up Children's Choir which is no wonder. Her voice is crystal clear and those who’ve listened to her have taken notice. One listener commented, “Fame is right at your door! Your voice is really soothing and nice and I think you’re an amazing singer and make sure to never give up! And be yourself.” While another said, “This is my favorite song, and you made it even more beautiful. Your voice is so clear, and perfect.” With more than 8,000 views already, it’s no surprise her cover of the song is going viral. It’s obvious listening to Hannah’s sweet voice hit the pitch perfect melody that she is just as passionate about the meaning of the song as Lauren is. Hannah's favorite line of the song, "there's never been a moment you were forgotten." The song starts with the words, “You are not hidden. There’s never been a moment you were forgotten,” and moves on to tell the story of how God will send out an army to rescue his beloved. When Lauren first released the song, she talked about where her inspiration came from. Lauren wrote it for someone close to her who was going through a difficult time. She wanted people to listen to this song and leave feeling that while they may be struggling, there are better times ahead. So true. When we remember God is with us and for us, it is the comfort we need. May we each take a moment to find and rescue someone who needs us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. “Because you love me, I will rescue you. I will protect you because you know my name. When you call to me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble. I will save you and honor you. I will satisfy you with a long life. I will show you how I will save you.” Psalm 91:14-16

COVID-19 Patient Plays The Violin While Intubated To Thank Healthcare Heroes

A COVID-19 patient played the violin while intubated so he could thank his healthcare workers. Healthcare providers and caregivers are the unsung heroes during the pandemic of 2020. They work long hours, they haven’t seen their families in weeks and they’re putting their own lives on the line to save the rest of us. But one patient found a way to say ‘thank you.’ Grover Wilhelmsen plays the violin while intubated to say thank you to these healthcare heroes. Grover, a 70-year-old retired Orchestra teacher, was hospitalized at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, for more than a month. He couldn’t speak while intubated and instead communicated with the healthcare staff through writing. One afternoon, Grover wrote a note to his nurse, Ciara Sase. He said he wanted to play his violin to thank staff for saving his life. Ciara then coordinated with Grover’s wife of 47 years to bring the instrument into the hospital. As long as Ciara monitored his vitals, doctors agreed that he could play. In the video posted by the hospital, Grover is sitting up in his bed. He can be heard playing the "Tennessee Waltz" while his nurse Ciara looks on. Although ICU rooms are kept shut, Ciara said she turned on her Vocera, a communication device used in hospital settings, so her colleagues could hear Grover play. “It brought tears to my eyes. For all the staff to see a patient doing this while intubated was unbelievable,” she said, “Even though he was so sick, he was still able to push through. You could see how much it meant to him. Playing kind of helped to soothe his nerves and brought him back to the moment.” Several of the staff in the ICU gathered around the closed glass doors of Grover’s room to listen and watch as the retired teacher played. "It was honestly shocking to be there when he picked up the violin," Matt Harper, another RN at the hospital. "It felt like I was in a dream." It was not only a miracle for this man to recover enough from COVID to sit up in his bed, it was completely another to witness him say ‘thank you’ through the gift of music. What a blessing this man was to his entire medical team. “So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:10

Singer Shares Testimony From Homeless To Worship Leader

Singer Jimmy Johnson speaks about his journey from being homeless to becoming a worship leader for Red Rocks Church. Imagine living in your car on the streets, being homeless as a teen while waiting to experience a breakthrough that only God can do. One worship leader has a testimony that shares just that. Jimmy had just graduated high school and was living in his car. After a stranger had asked him what he wanted to do, that conversation motivated Jimmy to scrape enough money together to make it to Virginia where he was accepted into school at Liberty University. He felt this was a big step in faith. That first year he lived off student loans but deep down he knew he wasn’t fully depending on God to provide, and he was getting himself into thousands of dollars of debt. But he remembered his prayers and believing God was going to do something big while he was at the college. While Jimmy was attending, he took advantage of trying out for an opportunity to be on the worship team on campus. Even though he didn’t know what would come from the tryouts, he felt God prompting him to try. Much to his humble surprise, he made it to the final rounds. By stepping out in faith he applied his trust in God throughout the tryouts and what happened next was mind-blowing. Jimmy merely thought he was trying out to be on the worship team. But when he was offered a position on the worship team, he was also offered a scholarship that would pay for all of his college expenses and tuition! God showed up in a big way and ensured Jimmy wouldn’t have to put himself in debt any further. He went on to graduate with a degree in music and is now a worship leader at Red Rocks Worship in Colorado. Red Rocks Worship is a collective community of worshipers, creatives, and songwriters. They’re passionate goal is to bring people closer to God. Based in Denver, the church has campuses that reach around the globe. Their hope is to make Heaven more crowded with a desire to reach the lost, the prodigals, and anyone who seeks closer communion with God. Jimmy and the team at multiple locations across the country aspired to create an intimate worship experience that will allow the listener to hear the songs with a fresh approach, a quiet spirit and to hopefully create a space for God to move in our hearts. It’s amazing what God can do when we trust in him for our breakthrough. So often we tend to rely on our own strength and resources when we merely need to look to our mighty God. Grab a tissue and get ready to praise God as you push play! “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” Matthew 6:25

Carrie Underwood On Wrestling With Faith After Miscarriage

Carrie Underwood suffered multiple miscarriages, and the star opens up about how the loss of her children affected her faith. Sometimes we are guilty of viewing God as a genie in a bottle when it comes to him answering our prayers. But what if God didn’t answer our prayers? Are there any blessings that come from it? Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, say so as they wrestled with their faith after a miscarriage. Several years into their marriage, the couple was ready to have another baby after giving birth to their now five-year-old son, Isaiah. Carrie was ecstatic when she got pregnant easily enough. But then the unexpected happened, she miscarried. "It sounds wrong when you say it, but, it's one of those 'bad things that happen to other people,' you know what I mean? It's not something that you ever envision yourself having to deal with,” she commented. At first they were reassured that sometimes miscarriages happen for no apparent reason. So when they were ready, they began trying again because Mike was reassured in a dream they would have another son. "Mike came to me one day and said, 'We're gonna have another baby, and it's gonna be a boy, and his name's gonna be Jacob,'" Carrie said. "And I was like, 'OK, and you know this because...?'" "I was just kind of wrestling and probably the most honest I've been with God ever in my life," Mike explained. "And I heard not audibly, but I just... sensed that God told me we're gonna have a son and his name's Jacob." Shortly after, Carrie miscarried again. She then crawled in bed with her son who was sleeping and “bawled.” Carrie and Mike went on to miscarry again. At their fourth attempt at getting pregnant, there was a moment where Carrie felt like she suffered yet another miscarriage. "I just had an honest conversation with God, and I told him how I felt," she revealed. "I was hurt, I was a little angry. Of course, you feel guilty for being mad at your creator. And I told him I needed something," she went on. "We needed to have a baby -- or not ever. Because I couldn't keep going down that road anymore.” But the news that Carrie got the following Monday was stunning. Carrie and Mike were in shock. They learned their pregnancy was still viable. It was a mistake! "And we went in later on that day and had an ultrasound. And it's like, 'It's all OK. Everything's OK,'" she says. "So we were like, 'Jacob. This is Jacob.'" Mike said. Jacob was born on January 21, 2019. As the couple reflect on their journey of three miscarriages to joy, they confess they never thought of Jacob as a name. Mike said, it wasn’t ever a name they talked about but the story in the Bible tells how Jacob wrestled with God all night long before demanding his blessing from the Lord. Carrie and her husband identified with the wrestling with God and asking for their blessing--a child. Isn’t God good to us? He allows us to seek him with all our desires and wrestle with our faith but he never gives up on us! “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
