This week reminded me how wide the world can feel—and how close it can suddenly become.

On Monday, we launched something that’s been on my heart for years: a campaign to feed schoolchildren in Haiti, a country I’ve visited many times and one of the most resilient places I’ve ever seen. Haiti remains the poorest nation in our hemisphere, and yet every time I’ve been there, I’ve been overwhelmed by the light in the people’s eyes. Now, we have a chance to help. Through a simple program, we’re providing breakfast for 1,300 students across three schools on the northern plateau.

Here’s the staggering part: it takes just $20 to feed one child for an entire school year. Twenty dollars. The price of a few lattes in Manhattan—or one lunch in Midtown—can literally sustain a life and help a child learn. If you’re moved to join us, visit WMCA.com. It’s one of those rare times where the smallest amount goes the longest way.

On Tuesday, the tone shifted. We paused to remember October 7, a date that forever changed the world for so many of my Jewish friends. The grief still feels fresh. Countless lives were stolen or scarred by that day, and even now, I know people personally still mourning or searching for pieces of their families. As we remembered, I was struck by how powerful solidarity can be. Remembering is holy work—it’s how we honor both loss and resilience.

Later that same day, I put on my moderator’s hat for Salem Media’s 2025 NYC Mayor’s Race Townhall—a standing-room-only event with more than 1,400 attendees and a power-packed panel: Hewitt, Gallagher, Herman, Kelly, Piscopo, Avalone and Parr. The theme? “How the 2025 race could make or break New York City.” Let’s just say, nobody held back. If you missed it, you can relisten to every fiery, fascinating minute at AM970TheAnswer.com.

By Wednesday, my wife’s culinary team at CestSiBon.org needed some “expert” assistance testing a new blueberry muffin recipe. Naturally, I answered the call of duty. (It’s tough work, but someone’s got to do it.) The recipe is up now, and if you love the scent of butter, vanilla, and fresh berries wafting through your kitchen, you’ll want to bookmark that one.

On Thursday, I had the joy of dining with dear friends at La Tête d’Or by Daniel Boulud, one of the city’s newest culinary crown jewels. Let’s just say it’s everything you’d expect from Boulud—elegant, intentional, and delicious beyond words. My full review will be up soon at That Passport Life—and yes, it’ll include insider tips on what to order first.

And now, as we slide into the weekend, That KEVIN Show has a lineup worth staying in for: Goya Foods’ Robert Unanue, the endlessly insightful Meaghan Mobbs, Billy Atwell from AFPI, a dash of sketch comedy, and a smooth #NewMusicSpotlight with Max McNown.

I’ve also been asked a great deal on some of my thoughts about recent music releases. My Townhall.com column dealt with that on Friday.

Life moves fast, but I’m reminded weekly that gratitude slows it down just enough to savor the best parts—the faith, the food, the friendships, and the fight for what’s good in this world.

Until we cross paths again—
