One young woman selected a unique location to sing and play an instrument, resulting in an audience of farm animals.

The United States is a diverse country, with millions of people who have different ways of acting, thinking and talking. People who live in New Hampshire will not act or sound the same as someone from the great state of Arizona. Everyone has odd ways of doing things, particularly people from the southern part of the U.S. For this reason, these people are often lovingly referred to as “rednecks.”

A man, decked out in camo-covered clothes, posted a video on YouTube and gave viewers a task. He asked them to “tell me you’re married to a redneck without telling me you’re married to a redneck.”

How does one go about doing such a thing? What could one possibly display that would qualify as having a spouse who is a 100% authentic redneck? 

After giving his directive, the man in the video tells viewers that he intends to fulfill his challenge first. He responds by saying, “Here, I’ll go first.”

From that point, the man turns the camera away and instead focuses on the scenery in front of him. The man walks through what appears to be a farm. Several old, worn cages lay about the yard. At first, it’s unclear where the man is going, but as he continues walking, a faint sound in the distance gets louder and louder.

Eventually, we reach the source of the sound. It’s a pig pen where his wife, wearing overalls, sits on a plastic crate. She sits down in the enclosure while singing and playing the banjo to a group of pigs who have crowded around her. 

I think it’s pretty safe to say that this man believes his better half qualifies as a redneck. And most people, given the evidence presented in the short clip, would wholeheartedly agree with him.

A group of musically gifted children sang a beloved song from the Disney classic “The Little Mermaid.”

Disney’s 1989 animated film “The Little Mermaid” is a movie that is near and dear to the hearts of many. Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian are memorable characters from the Disney flick. Songs from the movie, such as “Under the Sea” and “Kiss the Girl,” are also beloved tunes. But one track from the movie tops all the rest: “Part of Your World.”

To go along with Disney’s recent release of their live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid,” the award-winning PS22 Chorus performed “Part of Your World.” In a video posted on YouTube, the 5th graders from Staten Island, New York, beautifully belt out the lyrics first sung by Ariel. 

In the short, 2-minute clip, one man sits at the piano, playing the familiar tune, as the children, while wearing pink and turquoise-colored shirts, fill auditorium seats. Seconds into the video, one little girl, looking directly at the camera, sings the track’s opening lines. Her fellow chorus members, who sing the next couple of lines, then join in on the fun. 

From that point forward, the video goes back and forth. The camera alternates between the children sitting and singing together in the auditorium and the young lady singing solo.

It's a wonderful rendition of a beloved song. All the children are obviously supremely talented, with each showing off their stellar vocal abilities.  

According to the group’s YouTube channel, some of the biggest names in music have sung alongside the PS22 Chorus. Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Leslie Odom Jr. all have performed with the children. 

Additionally, the description of the “Part of Your World” video mentions the children did sing with one of the cast members of the new “The Little Mermaid” film. Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel in the movie, sang with the children several years ago. 

Psalm 95:1 “O come, let us sing to the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.”

Trace Adkins gave a stirring performance as he honored those who served in the armed forces and made the ultimate sacrifice. 

Those who spent time serving in any of the military’s many branches deserve gratitude and thanks. While some may not have experienced conflict, others left the military injured or severely maimed. However, there is another group that never made it back. They made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their life for the freedoms most take for granted daily. 

Country musician Trace Adkins appeared at the 2023 National Memorial Day Concert in Washington, D.C. He thrilled the audience and honored those who gave everything in defense of the United States with the song “Empty Chair.”

In a video posted to YouTube, Trace, donning a black cowboy hat and jacket, belted out the song's lyrics in his southern drawl about the soldiers who never made it home. 

With the song’s opening verse, Trace paints a picture of a group of older veterans gathering for breakfast or a morning coffee. The tune points out that despite their advanced age, they have not forgotten their “front-line” brother who perished in battle. 

“But you can almost smell the gun smoke
And the foxholes that they shared
On the days they raise their coffees
And toast the empty chair”

Trace sings beautifully as several uniformed military members in the audience watch silently and take in the heartfelt lyrics. Also, as Trace sings, the video displays photos of veterans conversing, laughing and honoring their fallen brothers. 

Veterans are a special group of people. They gave their time, talent and for some, even their lives for the freedom enjoyed by anyone and everyone who resides in the United States of America. 

Praise God for these people. And may we never forget those who never made it back home.

At times, the United States of America may appear to be a divided place, with deep polarization on many different issues. Social media platforms and 24-hour cable news channels are nothing but performative squawking and bickering over this issue and that topic. But it’s still a place where everyone has the right to freely voice those thoughts, opinions and ideas. Citizens of the United States of America also have the freedom to live their lives the way they see fit. 

Because of the rights explicitly spelled out in the nation’s founding documents and due to the sacrifice of members of the armed forces, Americans have those opportunities. Lee Greenwood’s patriotic 1984 hit “God Bless the U.S.A.” is a love letter to the United States of America and its veterans.

In the song’s opening verses, Lee perfectly illustrates the amount of freedom and opportunity the United States of America affords its citizens. He also articulates his deep love for this nation and the sacrifices of those who came before him. 

“I thank my lucky stars
To be living here today
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom
And they can’t take that away”

The track’s iconic and memorable chorus spells out how much he loves America, cherishes the precious freedom he enjoys and values America’s veterans.  

The United States of America is a place where anyone, through hard work, determination and skill, can change their lives for the better. It’s a land where freedom and opportunity give the individual a chance to do whatever they want with their lives. They are free to pursue any profession or goal. 

Despite all its faults, imperfections and deep partisan divides, America is still a force for good in the world.

A young child showed off her impressive pipes when she performed all the songs from a beloved Disney classic film, “The Little Mermaid.”

Disney is a company that has theme parks all over the world. Disney fans can enjoy the magic in parks in Florida, California, China, France and Japan. However, those parks would not exist without Disney’s many beloved films and characters. 

The 1989 animated classic “The Little Mermaid” is a film that holds a special place in the hearts of millions. It’s a tale of a young mermaid that, despite her physical appearance, longs to “be where the people are.” In addition to Ariel, Flounder, Sebastian, Ursula and Prince Eric, the film has several memorable tunes.

In a video posted to YouTube, 10-year-old Claire Crosby beautifully performs every song from the Disney flick. The 5-and-a-half-minute clip features the young woman walking through an aquarium, giving the impression of “being under the sea.”

Those who enjoy the film and even people who aren’t fans of Ariel and her quest to forge her own path in life will still recognize several of the tracks. Claire belts out the lyrics to “Part of Your World,” “Under the Sea” and “Kiss the Girl.” The talented little singer even gives a dazzling rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Soul,” the song performed by the film’s evil and conniving villain, Ursula. 

Yes, Claire’s vocal performance in the clip is impressive. It would be outstanding for someone twice her age. But the best part of the entire clip is the production value. 

The video is shot in a way to give the impression of being under the ocean. The clip matches the look and feel of the film perfectly. At one point, there are bubbles that fall around Claire. The young woman even has multiple costume changes to go along with each character.

It’s obvious that a ton of work went into producing this clip, both in front of and behind the camera.

A group of four gifted musicians beautifully performed the beloved folk classic “Shenandoah.”

Folk music is a treasured, but not often heard, genre of music. The lyrics in many folk songs are simple, straightforward and tell of a less complicated time, long since passed. “This Land Is Your Land” by Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Like a Rolling Stone” are just a few of the most well-known songs of the folk genre. 

Another classic folk track is “Shenandoah.” The origins of the song, recognized by many, are unclear, according to the Library of Congress. However, the song is agreed to be rather old. “The song probably did not originate later than the Civil War,” the site states. 

Nevertheless, in a video posted to YouTube, four musicians – Becky Burr and the Bluegrass Boys – perform the ancient tune. The female singer has a beautiful, pleasant and soothing voice, making it perfect for the folk music genre. The smooth, melodic tone of her voice is literal music to the ears. 

While the woman is the lead singer, the three gentlemen, who all play various instruments, lend their voices, joining in on the chorus. It’s clear that all four of the musicians are supremely talented. 

In addition to the beautiful lyrics and vocal performances, the landscapes and scenery captured in the video are something of note. The four musicians stand and play in a picturesque setting. The snow-covered land and babbling brooks look like something from a movie. 

The camera work in the video is also outstanding. Viewers get big, sweeping views of the majestic landscapes. Even a stunning sunset is captured in the short clip, which is breathtaking. 

What a stunningly shot video featuring four gifted musicians singing a beloved folk song.

An unearthed clip shows Jodi Benson, who voiced Ariel in Disney’s animated flick “The Little Mermaid,” recording a beloved song from the film.

The Walt Disney Company is responsible for producing dozens of classic films and characters over the years. “The Lion King,” “The Jungle Book” and “Beauty and the Beast” are just a few of their many beloved animated movies. From those many films have come several memorable tunes, including “Part of Your World.”

In a clip posted on YouTube, Jodi stands at a microphone and records the song “Part of Your World.” The tune, which is, of course, from 1989’s “The Little Mermaid” has since become an iconic track. It’s a song recognized by the masses, even those not fans of the fictional half-fish woman who longs to be where the people reside. 

But for those who are Disney fans or simply enjoyed the 1989 animated film, hearing and watching Jodi beautifully and perfectly sing that track is moving. She doesn’t miss a note or slip up once in the clip. 

Even when she quickly goes from singing to saying a line of dialogue as the character, Jodi is spot on. She goes from singing to talking and back seamlessly. It’s unbelievable how perfect she is in the more than 2-minute clip. 

Likely, Jodi’s terrific performance will immediately bring up images and scenes in your mind of Ariel swimming about the ocean with her pals Flounder and Sebastian. Others may think of the object of Ariel’s affection, Prince Eric. For some, the song may even remind them of the evil Ursula. Regardless, it’s a song full of nostalgia for many worldwide.

The song was written by Rachel Platten, Sean Myer, Ferras Alqaisi, and Meghan Kabir and it conveys a message of strength and hope for girls everywhere. Rachel Platten says that she wrote the song for her two daughters – Violet, who is 4, and Sophie, who is 20 months old.

"It was really important to me to get to send a message to my daughters, mark this period of time and let them know how I was feeling, how important [they are], and how much love I have for them," shares Rachel Platten. "Sometimes songs feel like they come out of the sky, like a little star I grab. This one came almost pre-written. It was almost like it was revealing itself as I played."

As a mother to little girls, Rachel Platten says that she has so much to share now when it comes to the messages in her music.

"Anything is possible. I know that there's a lot of doors that we have to kick down and ceilings to break, and there’s obstacles in our way. Not just for women, for all humanity, but I think especially for girls and women right now," she says. “That's what I want my daughters to know, that you can overcome anything."

Anna Richey is the young woman singing in this video, and she has a beautiful voice. She explains in the caption of this YouTube video how she ended up creating a duet of ‘You Are Not Alone’ with her late father.

“When I first heard Natalie Cole singing a duet with her late father, Nat King Cole, I knew deep down that someday I would do the same with my own dad,” she writes. 

“I was born 24 hours after my dad’s funeral, so I never had the opportunity to meet him in this life. He was an extremely gifted musician and singer, recording albums and cover songs on a regular basis. He was scheduled to tour with Vanilla Ice in the mid-90s before he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and his music career was cut short.”

Anna continues: “A few months ago, I discovered his original track for ‘You Are Not Alone’ by Michael Jackson and was able to extract his vocals and add them to a track I had made with my brother, Joseph. My lifelong dream of singing with the man who gave me my love and passion for music had actually come true, thanks to the amazing technology we have today. I hope you enjoy our version of ‘You Are Not Alone,’ recorded 27 years apart.”

What an incredible use of technology to merge these amazing voices together. And the story behind it all makes it even more powerful.

A recent American Idol winner has released a new song and video in which he honors his late father.

Iam Tongi has a ton of musical talent. He has a beautiful, melodic and soothing voice and a knack for song selection. After watching just one performance from the young man from Hawaii, it’s clear why America chose him as the latest winner of American Idol.

All throughout the competition - from his first audition to one of his last performances on the show – Iam was motivated by one thing: the memory of his late father. The young man made it clear that music was something Iam and his father bonded over. The love and memory of his father helped to drive many of Iam’s performances and song selections. 

A recent post to his YouTube channel shows how Iam is still putting his hurt and heartache over the loss of his father into his music. In the video, Iam sings “I’ll Be Seeing You.” 

The video is short, sweet and to the point. The 4:45-minute video consists of Iam on a chair in a darkened room while singing and strumming along on his guitar as he stares directly at the camera. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.

However, like with every other Iam performance, the words and his beautiful delivery of those lyrics will hit you in the heart. In the opening verse, Iam mentions that everything from his late father – his grin, laugh and wit – will remain in his heart.

In the second verse, Iam admits that while he is doing OK right now, loneliness has started to creep in. Not even those feelings of loneliness will be enough to hurt him because the memory of his father is still alive in him. In fact, he will see his dad wherever he goes.

Iam is a marvelous singer and performer as he consistently showed on American Idol. He certainly has a bright future.

Recently on her show during a Kellyoke segment, she performed a cover of Eva Cassidy's rendition of ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ by Simon & Garfunkel with her band. Her performance was stunning, and many of her fans shared how much they loved it online.

“Eva Cassidy had a way of taking the most recognizable and iconic songs and changing them just enough to make them fresh and surprising but still honoring the spirit of the original. She was truly a musical force. Kelly does a beautiful job of showcasing Eva's brilliance and of course the genius of S&G. Brava,” comments one person online.

“One of my favorite songs. It fits with Kelly's soulful voice,” writes another person on YouTube after watching the video.

The song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ was written by Paul Simon and was actually inspired by an old southern gospel song. When listening to the southern gospel group Swan Silvertones’ 1959 song ‘Oh Mary Don’t You Weep,’ one particular line stood out to Paul Simon. 

The line was, “I’ll be your bridge over deep water / If you trust in my name.” These lyrics helped Paul Simon finish writing the song ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ and contributed to its more gospel elements.

‘Hello Darlin’ spent a total of four weeks at number one on the charts and was also named as the number one song of 1970. The song was also nominated for Country Music Association Award for Song of the Year and Country Music Association Award for Single of the Year. In 1999, ‘Hello Darlin’ was added to the Grammy Hall of Fame, and its years of popularity made it an iconic country classic.

In this video, Scotty McCreery did such an incredible job with his rendition of ‘Hello Darlin’, and his smooth voice definitely did the country classic justice. Many people online thought the same.

One talented family turned in a dazzling performance of classic hit songs from yesteryear. 

The 1980s were a different and arguably, less divisive, time. Social media wasn’t a thing. No one felt compelled to share their every thought and opinion about every news item. Also, people weren’t glued to their iPhones or Androids, mainly because they didn’t exist either. 

But the 80s did provide David Hasselhoff talking to a car and had audiences obsessively watching a show about a large city in northeastern Texas. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Joe Montana also gave sports fans plenty to watch in the 80s. It was in that decade when Cyndi Lauper declared that she and other females simply wanted to have a good time. 

Fans of Lauper and other music from the 80s are in luck! In a video posted to YouTube, The Crosbys sang a medley of some of the most well-known, beloved and iconic songs from the 80s. 

The clip begins with a little girl, decked out in 80s-type clothing, shredding on the guitar while singing Joan Jett and The Blackhearts' “I Love Rock and Roll.” Dad joins the fun, beating on the drums in the background. 

Next up in the video of popular 80s songs is a rendition of The Police’s hit about creepily watching someone from afar, “Every Breath You Take.” The little girl and her dad also sing a duet to Toto’s “Africa.”

The young lady shows off her vocal talents on The Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams” and “Forever Young” by Alphaville. The five-minute clip also includes hit songs from U2, Tom Petty, Huey Lewis and The News, Rick Astley, and others. 

What a musically gifted family. They all appeared to have had a ton of fun singing and dancing their way through the 1980s!

One young man’s song about parents during a high school graduation has gotten a lot of attention.

Graduation is an exciting time. Whether it's receiving a high school diploma or a college degree, it’s a big accomplishment. However, while graduation ceremonies are a time to celebrate, they can also be anxiety filled. Those events mark the conclusion of one chapter and the beginning of the next. 

Often the next steps in life can be scary, especially when it’s something as monumental as going off to college, moving out or joining the workforce. Mom and Dad may not be around to give advice as frequently or protect you from potentially harmful situations.

In a video posted to YouTube, Danny Kenny plays the piano and sings a touching song, which is a tribute to parents who have been there all the way. 

The song begins on a somewhat humorous note as the young man sings about how he was asked to create a song last August. But in true high school student fashion, he admits he wrote the tune at the last minute, during lunch, actually. 

After singing about the poor quality of the school lunches, Danny quickly moves on to lines about parents. He does confess that he will miss Mom and Dad for several reasons. 

The high school graduate sings how he will miss boating outings with his father and his mother’s sweet reactions when he succeeds in competitions. He adds that he’ll miss the secure grip of his parents’ hand during times when things in life seem a bit unsure. 

Change and growing up is scary because it’s unknown. What will be there waiting for us? Will we be tough enough to handle it? 

Danny’s song perfectly captures the fears and anxiety that come with that stage in life. But it’s also a moving and heartfelt tribute to parents.

Two legendary artists joined forces for a low-key yet stunning display of their immense musical talent. 

Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash are iconic musicians responsible for creating some of the most widely heard and played songs ever. Both enjoyed decades-long successful careers, producing such hits as “Knocking on Heaven’s Door,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Ring of Fire” and “I Walk the Line.” Their unique sound defined generations. They also used their music to comment on some of the most pressing issues of the day. 

Back in May of 1969, those two artists combined their musical genius for a performance on ABC’s The Johnny Cash Show, according to a post on social media. The post adds that Bob’s appearance on the program came on the very first episode of The Johnny Cash Show. Not a bad way to kick off a new program.

In the video posted on Facebook, Bob and Johnny, both with guitars in hand, performed “Girl from the North Country.” In the short, 3-and-a-half-minute clip, Bob enters the frame and instantly is met with thunderous applause. He doesn’t acknowledge the warm reception but instead sits down and begins strumming on his instrument. 

Bob and Johnny give the audience a terrific duet. It's one that features two musical geniuses. It's a simple but excellent performance. Bob and Johnny’s performance is one that could easily be listened to repeatedly without ever growing tired of it. 

Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan are universally loved by music fans. While many adore Johnny’s writing and singing ability, feelings about Bob are much more polarized. Some aren’t the biggest fans of his voice, finding it lacking at times. However, not many can argue with his stellar songwriting abilities. Bob’s songs have been performed and recorded by other artists for decades. 

Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan will forever be giants in the musical world.

Two of the biggest names and voices in music today joined for a powerhouse and moving performance.

Kelly Clarkson and Josh Groban have been stunning audiences with their booming, powerful voices for decades. They have sold millions of albums and played in front of sold-out arenas all over the country. They are, without a doubt, superstars in the entertainment field.

However, while their music is very different from each other, Kelly and Josh could sing any kind of music beautifully. They are both just so incredibly talented. Both could sing the phonebook and likely sell out stadiums. 

So, what would happen if these two immensely talented musicians combined their one-of-a-kind voices for a duet? A clip posted to YouTube answers that question. Josh and Kelly sang “All I Ask of You” during a CBS holiday special a few years back. The results are just as spectacular as you would have guessed, maybe even more so.

Josh and Kelly stand in the center of a small circular stage, several audience members are seen sitting around the stage. The performance, mainly due to the small stage, feels much more intimate than normal. Instead of the typical arena or stadium setting, viewers are much closer to the performers. 

As their song concludes, the studio audience explodes in thunderous applause and cheers. Their performance was simply beautiful and elegant. Even if you don’t particularly like their kind of music, it’s still easy to recognize and appreciate their abundance of talent. 

Josh and Kelly made their performance look so mind-blowing effortless, not appearing to strain or even really try. These two are seasoned professionals who know how to use their voices to maximum effect. 

The short, less-than-four-minute clip ends with the two talented musicians sharing a warm embrace.

Two pianists managed to get quite the crowd due to their extraordinary musical talent, leaving those watching thoroughly impressed.

Whether it's painting, drawing, orating or woodworking, people have the ability to pick up on and recognize talent and beauty. Most can and do appreciate these God-given gifts and skills in others. The many unique abilities the Lord gives to members of His creation are just another of His many blessings. 

In a clip posted on YouTube, two men stun a crowd at the beach as the musicians tickle the ivories, receiving a well-deserved round of applause.

The short clip begins with one man sitting at the piano as several people crowd around him and watch. However, seconds into the video, a young woman walks up to the musician and makes a request. It sounds as if she asks if he can play a piece by Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi.

The man answers her in the affirmative and away he goes!

He picks up the pace, touching the keys with spectacular skill and dexterity. The man at the piano and the young woman exchange smiles while he plays her request. 

Then basically, out of nowhere, a second man jumps in, sits at the piano and begins playing. The transition from a solo performance to a duet is seamless. They do not miss a step, or more accurately, a note.

From that point forward, it’s a dazzling display of talent and skill at a rapid, mind-boggling pace. The two pianists move their hands in quick, synchronized motions, making literal music to the ears.

As the two men continue playing, their crowd only grows larger. People gather around to take in the show, with several people even filming the performance on their phones.

The clip ends with the crowd giving the men a rousing round of applause.

A big Hollywood star shows he is more than just an Oscar-nominated actor as he performs a classic hit song from The Animals.

Jeremy Renner is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Due to his many performances as Hawkeye in Marvel films and television shows, Jeremy has become a household name. But in addition to gracing the silver screen and displaying his acting chops, Jeremy also has immense musical talent.

In a clip posted to YouTube, Jeremy performs “House of the Rising Sun.” The video, which has more than 1.2 million views, is the official lyric video of the actor/singer belting out the lyrics to the 1960s track.

Jeremy’s version is not simply a rehashing, a remake of the original version. Instead, the Avengers star puts his own spin on the beloved song. He makes it his own and displays the strength of his voice in the process.

His version has a much more modern, updated sound. The song is sped up slightly and adds a few more beats and loops. Jeremey also sings in a slightly different cadence from the original version. Yes, it is the same song with the same lyrics about troubles encountered in New Orleans, but Jeremy adds some things to it.

Jeremy’s cover isn’t likely to win over people totally in love with the original, believing no one should touch it. But it is not going to turn off listeners either and have them desperately seeking out the 1964 classic to cleanse their ears. 

Jeremy singing “House of the Rising Sun” is not the only song he performs. His YouTube channel is littered with videos of him performing songs.  

Jeremy is a Hollywood A-lister who has been blessed with a ton of talent. He is an Academy Award-nominated actor who regularly appears in huge blockbuster films. He also has an impressive set of pipes, which are more than capable of pulling off a tremendous cover.

Three legendary entertainers joined forces for a powerhouse performance medley of country music songs. 

Country music, like every other genre, has devoted, die-hard fans. But as anyone even remotely familiar with country music will admit, not all country music is created equal. A lot of what is considered country music today is basically pop music with a Southern accent. That sound probably won't appeal to people who prefer Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard or Waylon Jennings.

Those who prefer their country music to be more of the old-school variety are in luck!

In a video posted to YouTube, Cher, Rita Coolidge and Kris Kristofferson combined their massive musical talents during an episode of The Cher show in 1975 for a country music performance.

The trio first sings Don Gibson’s “Oh, Lonesome Me.” Next, they move on to “Help Me Make It Through the Night” and end by singing Merle Haggard’s “Okie from Muskogee.”

All three of the legendary performers sound terrific! Throughout the nearly 5-and-a-half-minute clip, Rita, Cher and Kris all have several opportunities in which their considerable talents shine. All three share the singing duties while Kris also strums along on the guitar. 

The performers allow their immense musical abilities to be the focus of their performance. None of them employ overused theatrical tricks like crazy, over-the-top outfits or hairdos or annoying and bothersome lighting. Instead, the music is their biggest concern, which is how it should be. 

At the end of the clip, the studio audience erupts in thunderous applause as they show the trio their appreciation. 

Several who commented on the video mentioned how much they loved the performance.

“Stupendous as per usual! Cher is just a special type of genius performer, even among other great performers,” one person wrote.

“Wow!!! What an amazing blast from the past – I LOVE THIS!!!! Three great artists and three great songs and Cher’s voice is so powerful as usual!!!! Listening to Cher sing is like a breath of fresh air,” a second user added.

Wynonna Judd, a member of one of the most iconic, beloved country music groups of all time, turned in a stirring performance of one of her hit songs. 

Music is a terrific outlet for people to channel their thoughts and feelings. Those who are cheerful, optimistic or have recently fallen in love can sing about it. Music also gives those people who are hurting or struggling with the loss of a loved one the ability to express their grief through sound and lyrics. 

In a clip posted to YouTube, Wynonna Judd takes the stage and gives a heartfelt and moving performance of the Judds’ classic “Grandpa.” It’s a beautiful performance from a singer who recently suffered a great loss. 

The popular song from the 1980s is of a grandchild asking their grandfather about the good old days. The child asks grandpa question after question, seeking answers for why things are the way they are in the world today. The child simply wants to go back to the good old days.

“Did families really bow their heads to pray?
Did daddies really never go away?
Whoa, whoa, grandpa, tell me ‘bout the good old days”

In the clip, Wynonna stands on stage, singing to the adoring crowd all alone. Throughout the heartbreaking performance, Wynonna exudes strength and resiliency to be able to get through that song without breaking down in tears. Last year, Noami, Wynonna’s mother and bandmate, took her own life. 

About halfway through the clip, near the 2:45-minute mark, the crowd joins her in singing the song’s memorable, but heartbreaking chorus. 

At the end of the clip, the crowd erupts in a round of thunderous applause, giving their warm approval to Wynonna’s terrific performance.
