America’s Got Talent winner Michael Grimm returns to the stage that started it all with a stunning performance of ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ by Etta James. We first met Michael back in 2010 when he competed on the fifth season of AGT. Michael was raised by his grandparents and we learned that prior to his appearance, he performed in dive bars. He was just hoping for a little exposure but he gained so much more on AGT when he was crowned champion over runner up Jackie Evancho. “It all happened all at once. It was big. It was quick. It all came like a freight train. I was not prepared for that level of attention and I am a pretty shy person. It was scary, so I just kind of took a step back and let fame pass me by.” Now, Michael is hoping to defend his title as a contestant on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. The popular competition features over 40 acts from all across the globe. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. Despite his nerves, Michael delivered an incredible performance of ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ by Etta James. “I would rather, I would rather go blind boy Than to see you, walk away from me child, and all So you see, I love you so much That I don't want to watch you leave me baby Most of all, I just don't, I just don't want to be free no” This talented performer truly showed us all why he belongs on the America’s Got Talent stage. But only time will tell if Michael has what it takes to be named the ultimate champion.

In a video made right before he passed, a dying man records his final words about God and his love for Him. Steve Schultz, the man in this video, was diagnosed with cancer. For the last five weeks of his life, he had been hospitalized. During his last week here on Earth, doctors quit trying to treat his cancer and sent him home with pain medication to enjoy his final days being surrounded by his family. “If the Lord decided to take me within a soon amount of time, it’ll be important to not blame God for the struggling that maybe you’ve seen me go through. I don’t want that. This isn’t God’s will,” Steve says while laying down and looking into a camera. He continues talking about the love of God and how amazing He is. “God is love. His very essence is love. His very essence. It’s who He is…is love. I just ask that you wouldn’t blame God for any of this. God doesn’t tempt any man, but He’s good. He’s a good God.” Steve then goes on to talk about God’s plan and how he wants to submit to the Lord’s ways, not his own. “God has a plan that’s much bigger than my plan,” he explains. “And I raise my hands and I say, ‘Whatever your will is Lord.’ That’s what we want to do.“ As Steve talks about his life, he shares that he has a new appreciation for it. “Just the blessing that it is,” he says. In his fragile state, Steve also imparts some Biblical wisdom to the camera. “Build up friends around you. It’s so important. Bible says that there’s safety in the multitude of counselors and that’s where we need to be, having those counselors that can help us when they see us slipping up. It’s important.” Steve was just 47 years old when he died, but he lived a full life chasing after God. “Walk after, hard after the Lord. He’s good. He’s awesome,” Steve says at the end of this video. May we listen to his words and seek to do that with each day that the good Lord gives us!

After a deformed baby was abandoned at a hospital in India, two strangers brought him into their lives and adopted him. The hospital employees, Jessica and Raja Paulraj, were the ones who adopted Adam. Born in a Christian missionary hospital, Adam had a healthy brain, heart, and lungs. But he was so deformed that his family refused to take him home and even threatened to kill him. Thank goodness for Jessica and Raja who blessed Adam with a loving and Christ-filled home. Once they adopted him, they found Christians in America who would help Adam overcome his challenges. One of those people were Dr. John Van Aalst, a plastic surgeon at UNC Children’s Hospital, who spearheaded Adam’s treatment. Adam is doing great after his initial treatments and surgeries. He’s able to laugh, crawl, and enjoy spending time with his new baby brother, Elliot. But he still has obstacles to overcome. For instance, he cannot eat normally or talk, because he was born without the roof of his mouth. “He can’t speak words, like formed words right now with his palette being open,” says his mother, Jessica. “So, all the air comes out more loosely and makes sounds rather than formed speech.” Once Adam gets the surgery needed to repair his palette, he should be able to speak understandably and communicate with his family. The reason why he has not had the surgery yet is because his parents have not saved up enough money to do so. The surgery is very expensive, and since Adam is not yet a U.S. citizen, he cannot get health insurance to help with the cost. But Jessica and Raja have saved up about two-thirds of the money needed for the surgery, and they are receiving donations to help with the cost as well. With Adam expected to become a U.S. citizen soon, this should be the last surgery that they will have to pay for out of pocket. And hopefully insurance will cover Adam’s future treatments like nasal reconstruction, prosthetic legs so he can walk, and new hands for a tighter grip. Despite all of these hardships with their son, Raja considers him and his family very blessed. “When I look back I remember Romans 8:28…’that all things work for good’…and I think that’s very true for me, Jessica, Adam, and Elliot.”

We had a more ‘active’ childhood than the present digital generation does! As a parent, we are sure that at some point or the other you’ve found yourself wondering whether your kid is getting enough exercise or not.

My goal is to write beautiful music that is a fusion of East and West. "Heavenward: Meditation for Violin" uses the Indian tanpura as a duet partner which provides a calming backdrop. My violin is in a scordatura of F#, C#, F#, C# (as opposed to traditional G, D, A, E). This adds extra sympathetic vibrations to the violin as it interacts with the fundamental F# of the drone.
As a professional violinist and composer, I have been playing the violin since I was 2 years old. There have been many ups and downs along the way, but the love of music has kept me going these past 40 years! Although my training consists largely of Western music, I had the opportunity to spend 5 months in India when I was 18. After receiving my Masters in Composition from Carnegie Mellon University, an additional 5 summers were spent studying South Indian Carnatic violin at a local Pittsburgh temple. All of these experiences have led me toward a musical sound and expression that I believe is uniquely beautiful. I hope that my music might especially reach those who are hurting and give them some comfort and hope.

12-year-old Luke Islam returns to the America’s Got Talent stage for a stunning rendition of ‘Ashes’ by Celine Dion. We first met this incredible young singer on season fourteen of America’s Got Talent. Before his first audition, we learned that Luke was a New York native and dreamed of being on Broadway. Luke chose ‘She Used To Be Mine’ from the musical ‘Waitress’ for his moving audition. It was such an incredible performance that judge Julianne Hough was moved to press her golden buzzer. From that moment on, Luke’s life was completely transformed. He went on to the semi-finals of the competition and even had the chance to appear on the Broadway stage. Now, this talented teen is back for another chance at the AGT crown with the latest installment of America’s Got Talent: The Champions. The popular competition features over 40 acts from all across the globe. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. And for today’s performance, Luke isn’t holding anything back. Just listen as he belts out the words to ‘Ashes’ from Celine Dion. “Let beauty come out of ashes Let beauty come out of ashes And when I pray to God all I ask is Can beauty come out of ashes?” This incredible performance earned him a standing ovation from the crowd. For such a young boy, he surely has some big talent. Even though he did not advance in the competition, I have a feeling that we will be seeing a lot more from Luke in the future.

It was a heartwarming moment captured on camera when this rescued cow finally feels grass in the field for the first time. All of God’s creatures are amazing. From the biggest animals in the jungle, to the smallest fish in the sea, He took His time to create each and every one of them. However, there are some people in the world that do not appreciate and care for animals the way that they were intended to be. Sadly, that is the case for this cow. This rescue cow spent the majority of his life in an enclosure that was completely devoid of grass or dirt. He had a concrete floor and no access to the outside. That’s when Amanda Marie Carter, the overseer of Happily Ever After Farm, stepped in. She helped save Homie from slaughter and give him a new life at the animal sanctuary. This precious video clip showcases the life-changing moment when Homie was released into a field and allowed to run and be free. As Amanda cheers him on, Homie runs and romps around the field, letting him feel grass for the very first time. It was truly a moment full of pure happiness and joy. Who else is grinning from ear to ear right now? Marcelito has a unique talent where he can sing in both the male and female vocal range. This incredibly rare gift helped him breeze through the competition and earn a record deal. Today, he’s back on the big stage as a contestant on America’s Got Talent: The Champions. The popular competition features over 40 acts from all over the globe. The list of contenders includes past winners, finalists and fan-favorites. The sheriff’s office in Palm Beach County were in for a surprise when their emergency call ended up being a talking parrot. It started as a routine call for these police officers when they received a report about a woman yelling and screaming for help at a neighbor’s house. On Facebook, the sheriff’s office wrote, “Our Deputies in Lake Worth Beach came to the help of someone screaming for help. Hilarity ensued.” When they arrived on scene, a man was outside and happily greeted the officers. He later said, “I was changing the brakes on my wife's car and had my 40-year-old parrot, Rambo, on his outside perch where he sings and talks. Sometime later four police officers showed up saying a neighbor called because she heard a woman screaming for help.” Rambo’s owner has had the parrot for over four decades. He shared that when he was a child, Rambo lived in a cage. That’s when he taught Rambo how to say “Help, help, let me out!” Flash forward to the present and Rambo started yelling this phrase while outside. A nearby neighbor heard the screams and mistook it for a woman in danger. Needless to say, everyone got a good laugh out of the situation and the neighbor has now been formally introduced to Rambo. Now, the video has been viewed over 2 million times online and continues to make everyone laugh out laugh. This is definitely a story that everyone involved is going to be telling for years to come.
