Francesca Battistelli - Beautiful, Beautiful (Dented Fender acoustic version)

This is from Francesca's album "My Paper Heart". It's not the radio version, it's an acoustic version from something called the Dented Fender Sessions (of course, "dented fender" comes from her song "Free To Be Me"). I sort of like this version better. It's a reminder that we are beautifully and wonderfully made, that the world is beautiful, and that Jesus is beautiful.

Jaci Velasquez - Lay It Down

A wonderful song of submission to God. We struggle and try to solve things on our own, and eventually we realize the best thing to do is just lay our troubles at His feet and seek His guidance.

Written by Don Poythress, Brian White, and Chris Eaton.

Jaci Velasquez - The Sound Of Your Voice

A wonderful song from Jaci Velasquez' album "Diamond". I love songs about the majesty of God, and this is one of them. He is omnipotent, He is omnipresent, He is ever-loving. He is the King. He is eternal, and, yes, His voice will echo forever.

Meredith Andrews/Paul Baloche - How Great Is The Love

From Meredith's album "As Long As It Takes". Written by Meredith Andrews, Paul Baloche, and Jacob Sooter. That's Paul singing along with Meredith. A wonderful song about, well, God's love, as the title says. A simple song of thanks for the way that God loves us.

The Pursuit of Holiness and Turning Back to God

This is an excerpt from Jerry Bridge's book The Pursuit of Holiness.

I strongly encourage you to buy the book. It's pretty cheap: https://www.amazon.com/The-Pursuit-Holiness-Jerry-Bridges/dp/157683932X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1339348980&sr=8-1

In all that has been said so far about our responsibility for holiness - the necessity of conviction and commitment, perseverance and discipline, and of holiness in body and in spirit - the activity of our wills is always implied. It is the will that ultimately makes each individual choice of whether we will sin or obey. It is the will that chooses to yield to temptation or to say no. Our wills, then, ultimately determine our moral destiny - whether we will be holy or unholy in our character and conduct.

Receiving What we ask for in Prayer

Prayer is not just receiving any and everything we pray for, but it is positioning oneself to receive everything the Father wills for an individual.

The Daily Pulse (Friday, June 8, 2012): Back to work

Daily Pulse - Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?

Tenth Avenue North - Hold My Heart

Yeah, lots of people have made videos for this wonderful song. I thought I'd take a crack at it. My favorite line in the song is "Your promises remain". That's so comforting. We need to keep that in mind when we are going through trials, because no matter what befalls us, we can always cling to that truth, "Your promises remain". God is faithful. His promises will never be broken. And He has promised to hold our heart, and He always will, if we simply reach out to Him. Thank You, Lord.
