Bible based Christ centered church. Pastor Rod Shockley shares God's word teaching all of us how although the Word of God was written long ago, the Truth in His Holy Word is for all times. He uses scripture to support his teachings and provides modern day eamples of how it relates to today's experiences. Pastor Rod can be described as a humble pipeline from God to the congregation. Multiple times the congregation has visited telling each other how they may have been thinking about a situaion or dealing with something that the very sermon was about. Pastor Rod's sermon's are filled with God's word. He doesn't water down anything and never forgets to remind us of the Lord's great love for us. Pastor Rod doesn't just talk a sermon once a week, he is a modern day disciple of Christ. Our church has other areas of involvement beyond our pastor. We are involved with "The Bridge of Hope" which provides aide for our brothers and sisters in Sierra Lione, fighting Ebola, and other problems like water. TPCC also has a group working for a group within the city called Maple Vine which provides help to less fortunate people living in poverty with in the area of TPCC. We have other groups as well. Small groups, bible studies, classes periodically. Overall it is Pastor Rod's sermons that are so empowering. He is truly a humble and gifted man of God. Our church is made up of about 200 to 250 people. We meet in the gymnasium of a school which is very simple by appearance; yet God is so very present . Our lives, as well as the lives of others are changed for the better because of this church and our Pastor. Thank you for considering TPCC as Church of the week. For me, it is my church of my life. I am so glad to have found it. It is a solid light in a world of ever growing darkness.
